Course Guide & Course Contents

This sheet is setup to assist you in keeping track of what you have completed, and what you should try to complete each week to finish on time.

Week 1

Chapter 1 begins with an introduction to blueprints.

In this chapter you will learn:

How a blueprint is made / folding of shop prints / classification of engineering drawings / title blocks and working drawings / theory of projection of drawings / orthographic projection pictorial drawings.

___ A - Semester 1 Blueprint Module 1

Textbook: Read pages 1-3 then click the video, follow along with the video on page Pages 4 -10

 Note the videos in this Module have a reference to an older version text pages, do not pay attention to those page numbers.

 ___ B- Open your book to Page 158 and also open the Blueprint packet TP 100. Follow along with the video. Pause the video to write the correct answers. Use the video as reference

Week 2

___ C- Blueprint TP 100 quiz. Complete the questions in your book before taking this test, if you did not do so, review the video marking your answers down in your book. This test requires a passing grade of 90% which you should be able to achieve since each question is covered in the video.

___ D- Semester 1 - Chapter 1 Blueprint Review. Make sure that you read the entire Chapter, and that you have watched the videos before taking this test.  You may want to review Chapter 1 again.

Chapter 2 covers:  Lines and uses in orthographic projection. In this chapter you will learn:

Object lines/hidden lines/centerlines/phantom lines/dimension lines/extension lines/leader lines/break lines/section lines/cutting plane lines/principal views/developing orthographic views

Week 3

___ E - Semester 1 Blueprint Chapter 2 Developing Orthographic Views

This video is instructional it will help you to understand view projections. It is not found in your textbook. This video is very informative, and will help you to understand how a precision machined part is manufactured through the result of understanding how to read a print.

___ F- Semester 1 Blueprint Chapter 2 Part 1: (Note the page sequence is off by one page). To begin watch the video / open your book to Page17 so that you can follow along with the video. Read the entire Chapter after the video is completely viewed.

Week 4

___ G- Semester 1 Blueprint Chapter 2 (3rd Angle Projection). This video is not in your book but by watching it, you should get a better understanding on projections

___ H- Blueprint Chapter 2 - Quiz

___ I- Chapter 2 Blueprint Review Page 29 - 31 Follow along in your textbook on page 29 Pause the video as needed or replay it as needed.

___ J- Semester 1 Blueprint Chapter 2 Page 26 This Video references that the views can be found on page 28, they are actually on page 26.  It also does another review of the Problems on page 29 just in case you did not get it the first time.

Week 5

___ K- Semester 1 Blueprint TP 101 Turn to page 159 of your textbook, open your set of prints to TP 101, and follow along with the video. Make sure to mark the correct answers in your book for your test.

___ L- Semester 1 Blueprint TP 101 quiz. Make sure that you complete the answers in your book before attempting this test. You will need a 90% to pass.  This score requirement is set this high because the supporting video covers all the questions and answers.

Week 6

___ M- Semester 1 Blueprint TP102 Turn to page 160 of your textbook and also open your prints to TP 102, and follow along with the video. Make sure to mark the correct answers in your book for your test.

___ N- Semester 1 Blueprint TP 102 quiz: Do not attempt this test until you have watched the video and marked the correct answers in your book. This test requires a 90% to pass.

Week 7

___ O- Semester 1 Blueprint TP103: Turn to page 161 and also open your prints to TP 103, and follow along with the video. Make sure to mark the correct answers in your book for your test.

___ P- Semester 1 Blueprint TP 103 quiz. Do not attempt this test until you watch the video, this test requires a 90% to pass

Week 8

___ Q- Semester 1 Blueprint TP104. Please use your textbook and actual print to follow along with this video. The Questions are found on page 163, and also open your prints to TP 104.

___ R- Semester 1 Blueprint TP105 Follow along with this video while using your book. Question are found on page 164 & 165, and also open your prints to TP 105.

Week 9

___ S- Semester 1 Blueprint TP106 Page 166 Follow along in your book, and also open your prints to TP 106

___ T- Semester 1 Blueprint TP107 Page 167 Follow along in your book, and also open your prints to TP 107

Week 10

___ U- Semester 1 Blueprint Chapter 3 Aux and Sec Views: To begin open your book to page 55 and read the 1st page. The video mentioned here that states it is on Blackboard, is the previous video that you just watched in Module U- 1 however I have made it easy for you, and it was brought into this series, I hope that you have watched it.

The video under Module U covers the entire Chapter 3.

___ V- Semester 1 Blueprint TP108 Pages 168 & 169: Make sure that you open your book to the correct page and match the drawing with the textbook materials. Make sure you write down the correct answers

Week 11

___ W- Semester 1 Blueprint TP109 Page 170 & 171

___ X- Semester 1 - Blueprint - Chapter 3 Quiz Make sure that you complete Chapter 3 reading and videos before attempting this test. An 80% is required to pass

Week 12

___ Y- Semester 1 Blueprint Chapter 4 Dimensioning: To begin start the video, and open your book to Page 65. The Blueprints in the video are not in this chapter they are only reference.

___ Z- Semester 1 - Blueprint - Chapter 4 - Quiz: This test is not taken from questions in the book, it is a knowledge based tests and requires an 80% to pass. You will be permitted 2 attempts to pass it. Your highest score will count.

Week 13

___ AA- Semester 1 - Basic Blueprint - Chapter 5 GDT: Read the Chapter on your own. This video is a lecture video and it does not sequence with pages in your textbook.

___ BB- Semester 1 Blueprint Chapter 5 Quiz This test requires an 80% to pass. You will have 3 attempts to achieve and 80%, your highest score will count.

___ CC- Semester 1 - Blueprint Chapter 6 Metric Conversion: To begin click on the Video to begin the Chapter. Read the Chapter along with the video. This video blends reading and lecture. There is not a test

Week 14

___ DD- Semester 1 Blueprint TP110 Page 172 & 173: To begin, watch this video and mark the correct answers in your book. Be prepared for the test to follow in the next lesson segment.

___ EE- Semester 1 Blueprint TP 110 quiz. Please watch the video before starting this test. You will need to score an 80% to pass. You will be permitted 2 attempts and the highest score will be used.

___ FF- Semester 1 - Blueprint Chapter 7 - Castings & Forgings: This video toes not sequence with the textbook. Please read the textbook beginning on page 123 of your book. There is not a test on this Chapter

Week 15

___ GG- Semester 1 Blueprint TP111 Page 174 & 175: to begin please open your book to page 174 and follow along with the video marking the correct answers in your book. Be prepared for the test to follow in the next segment.

___ HH- Semester 1 Blueprint TP 111 Quiz: Do not attempt this test until you reviewed the matching video and you marked the correct answers in your book. A 90% is required to pass, you will be permitted 2 attempts. The highest grade is used

___ II- Semester 1 Blueprint Chapter 9 Layout; Begin reading on page 145 and follow along with the video.

Week 16

___ JJ- Semester 1 Blueprint TP112 Page # 176: Follow along in your textbook. Mark the correct answer in your textbook and be prepared for the test to follow in the next sequence.

___ KK- Semester 1 Blueprint TP112 quiz: Do not attempt this test until you watched the video that matches. You will be required to score a 90% to pass. You will be permitted 2 attempts.
